Finance Data Apprentice

Overview:

As a Finance Data Apprentice in this hybrid role, you will be responsible for a blend of general office administration and finance related data tasks. Your duties will include supporting daily office functions, assisting with administrative tasks, and contributing to data entry, reporting and analytical activities to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage office supplies, equipment and general upkeep.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails and correspondence.
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars and support event coordination.
  • Assist with document preparation, filing and record keeping.
  • Support Finance and Leadership teams with administrative tasks.
  • Enter, update and maintain accurate data in internal systems.
  • Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Perform basic data analysis and quality checks.
  • ISO tasks.

Desirable skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel and Word.
  • An excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional manner and presentable appearance.
  • Accuracy in data entry.
  • Manages multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Handles confidential information with discretion and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Initiative to solve problems, anticipates needs and prepares accordingly.
  • Customer focused approach.
  • Approaches challenges with a logical and calm mindset, finding practical solutions to administrative or data issues.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm including 1 hour lunch break.
