Digital Support Apprentice

Overview:

Gillespie MacAndrew has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Support Apprentice to join our expanding AML & Client Onboarding team in our Edinburgh office.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate client data in the firm’s system, performing data validation and verification, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for an individual starting out in their career or for someone looking to develop their career further in a professional environment as all relevant training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for enquiries for the AML & Client Onboarding team. Responding to everyday correspondence or triaging to relevant team member if necessary.
  • Become a systems expert on 3E (client data entry and management software). You will set up and maintain client accounts and details and maintain accurate and up-to-date client ID on file and assist with ongoing monitoring checks including conflict checking.
  • Carry out searches on public register’s portal and other research to assist in identifying and verifying the identity of clients of the firm including conflict checks as appropriate.
  • Using iManage (knowledge work platform) to ensure all client data entries comply with firm’s policies and regulatory requirements, assist with preparation of file reviews and matter inception reports as well oversee file closures.
  • Using Microsoft Teams to communicate with colleagues and clients internally and externally.
  • Using Microsoft Excel to update and recording client data and details and uploading these to iManage.

Required skills:

  • National 5 English.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • A team player who is self-motivated, positive and has a “can do” attitude.
  • Be well organised and demonstrate excellent prioritisation and attention to detail skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills.

Salary: £23,000 per annum.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
