IT Support Engineer Apprentice

Due to continued growth, a fantastic career opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice IT Support Engineer to join our friendly and expert team. We are an MSP (Managed Services Provider) based in the beautiful location of Henley in Arden – just off J4 of the M42 - who provide first class proactive IT support and consultancy to a variety of businesses and charities based predominantly in the West Midlands.

You do not need to have bags of experience - as we are looking for a person with enthusiasm, a huge passion for IT and a hunger to learn. You will need to be keen to develop your skills so you can shine in our professional, yet fun and supportive environment. You will occasionally be required to visit customer sites so will need to be presentable, have a confident demeanour and a full clean driving licence (or learning to gain one).

Key Duties:

• Answering incoming telephone calls to log details of support tickets
• Troubleshooting PC and Laptop issues, basic network connectivity issues & peripheral issues 
• Set up and installation of new PCs and laptops
• Onboarding / offboarding new users and leavers
• Provide 1st line support for for incoming support calls, software and Operating systems
• Monitor and manage system health checks
• Maintain System documentation and carry out software upgrades
• Troubleshooting password and MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) issues

The Reward

The apprenticeship programme will provide a structured training plan delivered by a third-party Apprentice training organisation. This training will complement the on-the-job training you will receive from your colleagues at Synium – all of whom have worked in the IT industry for many years.

Working hours are 8.30 to 5 Monday to Thursday (4pm finish on a Friday), however we would consider alternative hours to accommodate family or travel commitments and/or limitations.
