About the role:
Westborn Ltd, trading as Kinder Valley, is a leading UK supplier of nursery furniture and textiles to both high street and online retailers. We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Project Manager Apprentice to support our Sales team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain commercial experience while developing core skills in sales data analysis and project coordination for key accounts, including major supermarket chains and e-commerce platforms.
As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll assist with managing large-scale customer orders during promotional periods and events (such as Black Friday, Summer Sales, and Baby events), while using data insights to drive smarter decision-making and support the wider sales strategy.
Responsibilities:
Sales support & project management:
- Assist in coordinating large customer orders and store roll outs for blue-chip accounts (e.g., Tesco, ASDA, Amazon).
- Work with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth project delivery, managing timelines and communicating updates.
- Liaise with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to track stock availability and shipment status.
- Help draft pitch documents, delivery schedules, and status updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Data analytics & reporting:
- Gather, clean, and interpret sales data using Excel and Odoo ERP dashboards.
- Support performance reviews by preparing weekly sales reports, customer trends, and forecasting insights.
- Monitor product sell-through rates and flag under performing SKUs.
- Provide admin support on margin analysis and price comparison bench marking.
Communication & collaboration:
- Communicate directly with clients to confirm order details, shipping requirements, and promotional planning.
- Attend team planning sessions and input into forecasting and seasonal product planning.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration between Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Accounts.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Enthusiasm for sales, data and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, basic formulas).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Interest in the furniture, nursery, or FMCG sector.
- Basic understanding of project management principles.
- Previous work experience, part-time job, or academic project work involving data or sales.
Entry requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc).
- OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role).
- AND 5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
