IT Technician Apprentice

Amita are an award-winning IT service provider with a team of highly trained and experienced technical staff who are dedicated to providing you with fast, flexible, friendly and first-class support at all times. They are seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician Apprentice to join their expanding tech team based in Middlewich.  

Responsibilities:

  • Working with and supporting the team.
  • To provide first line helpdesk support to customers.
  • To provide remote site visits and possible on-site installations and support.
  • To be able to accurately diagnose software and hardware faults and to be able to resolve a large proportion of client problems via remote networking and client site visits.
  • To provide a high standard of customer care to clients, ensuring their problems are dealt with efficiently, maintaining contact and keeping clients informed of progress.
  • To be aware of and abide by the company’s health and safety procedures and associated polices.
  • On the job training and mentoring will be provided to enable the apprentice to become a fully trained IT Support Technician.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
