Apprentice Production Chef EAGLE & CHILD (AUCKLEY) LTD

Summary
This job will give you the experience you need to work in the catering industry, and your skills will be in high demand in the future. We offer a menu packed full of mouth-watering dishes and daily specials. Our meals are cooked to order and prepared from fresh seasonal produce to create a variety of tempting dishes.


Training course Production chef (level 2)
Hours 9 am-3 pm & 4 pm-10 pm, 4 days per week. Will work alternative weekends. 24-30 hours on site plus 6 hours of training at college. 30 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work
You will gain proper experience in your trade Learning new creative techniques and developing your skills.

General duties include:

  • Preparing fresh food
  • Stock Rotation
  • Learning to produce food under the pressure of orders
  • Working in a fast-paced kitchen  
  • Learning how to create new dishes
  • Cleaning to a high standard

Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer
Day release  
  • Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard 
  • Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed
You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry-qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge, and experience

Requirements
Desirable qualifications

    English and Math (grade C/4 or above)
    Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
