Jourdan Kiwomya – Leagues & Clubs Services Apprentice @ The Fa
6 years ago

My role and what I do

As Leagues & Clubs Services Apprentice I work across 5 areas of the team; Leagues, Clubs, Charter Standard, Respect & The National League System.

What attracted me to the FA?

I was attracted to The FA because it is clear that they’re a great organisation. I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to make a positive contribution to the game on a national scale.

Highlight of my role so far

So far, the main highlights of my apprenticeship have been making personal changes to the criteria and process of certain funding streams that will affect hundreds of leagues moving forward.

I have had the opportunity to be the logistical lead for England C Team’s International Challenge Trophy Final match in Ziar Nad Hronom, Slovakia. I am also part of the Club Improvement Plan workshop which recently acquired over £5million. Lastly, a key highlight was meeting with the National League System Leagues and spending time with them individually to see how we can aid them develop as a league.
