Manufacturing Apprentice

How the role fits:

You will undertake a series of rotational placements – These could include Mechanical Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly, Electro Optic Assembly, Environmental Facility, Material Supply and Logistics, Master Production Scheduling, Manufacturing Engineering and Machine Shop – that will springboard you into the world of manufacturing and teach you how to build and test industry-leading radar and laser systems. You’ll experience how we manage the flow of material through our supply chain and how we ensure the process is as efficient as possible.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required:


You must have (as a minimum) the following academic qualifications:
•4 Standard Grades (1-3) / National 5 (A-C) or National 4 (or equivalent)
•Mandatory: Mathematics & English
•Plus another two subjects, preferably technological subjects e.g. Graphic Communication, Product Design, Craft &
Design, Tech Studies, Computing, Woodwork, Metalwork etc.


Note: This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has little engineering knowledge and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have an NC

The starting salary for this role is: £17,850

Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as “SC”) for our business which includes having a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK.
