IT Apprentice

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the creation of IT campaigns, including technical support systems, email, and software tools.
  • Conducting system diagnostics and network monitoring to support IT strategies.
  • Helping to manage technical support systems channels by scheduling tickets and engaging with users.
  • Hardware setup – including laptops, PCs, printers.
  • Creating and editing technical documentation such as system diagrams, and training materials.
  • Supporting the team with software updates.
  • Analysing system performance and preparing reports.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to IT projects.

Desirable skills:

  • Basic understanding of digital IT and technical support systems platforms.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with IT tools (e.g., remote desktop, network monitoring tools) is a plus.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Creative and eager to learn.
  • Enthusiastic about IT and digital trends.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

40 hours per week.
