“Hi, my name is Taylor and I am currently an apprentice with Baxterstorey, RBS Gogarburn, and I hope to become a famous chef – fingers crossed!
I love cooking, growing up I’ve always had a home-cooked meal and my inspiration is my mum, who has taught me many skills, as well as my cousins that are also chefs.
So far I have been interacting with new people and working in a team within hospitality serving tea and coffee- without spilling any. I’ve made several friends within the front of house team and we always have nice chats and fun.
I didn’t do cooking at school, but I cook often at home for the whole family and I am always watching cookery shows on TV, plus I do enough baking to feed a small army.
I hope to gain skills and experience throughout this apprenticeship and to continue on cooking and developing my talents. Once I have saved up enough money I want to travel the world and explore different cuisines.”
