Seventeen-year-old Lauren Baker turned her life around with a Sales Traineeship from Smart Training and inless than six months she went from being unemployed to having a job she loves and studying for a nationally recognised qualification.
After finishing school Lauren wanted to work but with no experience and poor GCSE grades all her attempts to find a job were unsuccessful. But thenshe heard about Smart Training and got a place on the Traineeship programme.
Lauren really enjoyed the training sessions."I could work at my own pace. The tutors are very supportive and would always give me a push when I needed one," she said.
After three months,Lauren started as a Sales Apprentice and not onlyis working towards her Level 3 Diploma in Sales & Telesales but she has also been promoted to Account Manager!
"When I started the Traineeship, I didn't believe it was going to be an opportunity to make something of my future," she added. "I was unsure of what I wanted as a career, which was distressing me quite a bit, but with the support of everyone at Smart Training I am now a Sales Apprentice and I really enjoy it."
