The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London has set up a range of excellent specialist academies and initiatives for enrolling students this year. Unmatched for its academies’ offer, new learners can choose from four sports academies in football, basketball, boxing and racket sports - and three Business School academies in Accounting, Business Management or Travel and Hospitality. Also in September, the college’s newly developed £3.3million sports centre and library open for business at its Enfield Centre.

The highly popular Football Academy run in partnership with Leyton Orient Football Club is holding trials for the team until 5 September. The new sports centre offers excellent facilities for up and coming athletes which combined with the Sponsored Athlete Programme (SPA) really will nurture the local sports professionals of the future. The SPA offers athletes financial help towards equipment, travel expenses and entering competitions throughout the country.

Each of the academies places huge importance on the employability of its members. Work experience and summer paid internships are offered as part of the Business Management and Travel and Hospitality Career Academies – the latter being the first of its kind in London.

Paid apprenticeships alongside intensive leadership skills’ training are offered with the Accounting Academy.
