The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) has been developed by Skills for Care and is the new QCF replacement for the Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management Care Services.

Aimed at managers or senior practitioners who lead social care provision in an adult or children and young people’s setting; the course is ideal for individuals who want to take their career to the next stage.

Our new Health and Social Care Higher Apprenticeship delivered by our award-winning trainer-assessors will help those who are ready to climb the care career ladder gain the necessary skills and knowledge needed to accelerate their role to the next level,” says Jill Whittaker, managing director of Connect 2 Care’s parent companyHIT Training.

All of our trainer-assessors have worked in the industry and know exactly what makes a successful staff member. Using their practical knowledge and experience in the health and care field, our trainers are best placed to guide and develop the expertise of staff on any Connect 2 Care training programme.

In order to enrol on the course, potential learners should be at least 19 years old and must be working, volunteering or on practical placement and must be able to demonstrate competence in knowledge and skills, either within the public, private, voluntary or charitable sectors. Connect 2 Care also recommends that individuals wishing to study for the Health and Social Care Higher Apprenticeship hold a Level 3 qualification or above in a related area.
