Today Holts Academy announces the launch of its Apprenticeship Boot Camp – aimed at getting young people with no experience fit for work. The boot camp will comprise a series of fun Dragons Den and The Apprentice style projects, giving young people the maturity, confidence and problem solving skills employers look for in an apprentice.
Holts Academy has been at the forefront of developing and delivering jewellery apprenticeship opportunities to young people for over two years. Each apprentice is carefully matched to an apprentice job opportunity in jewellery making, retail, business or IT, and while each apprentice learns on the job they are assessed and tutored by Holts Academy to achieve a vocational qualification.Holts Academy apprentices are currently working in jewellery companies throughout London, Birmingham and Sheffield.
Lee Lucas, Director of Holts Academy says “We are really excited about our new programme which we hope will help to transform the lives of young people currently looking for work. We guarantee each young person will leave the boot camp with a great CV and interview skills, as well as leadership and problem solving skills employers look for. It’s not going to be boring lessons in a classroom, but hands-on practical and fun projects, and our Apprenticeship boot camp is open to all young people, whether or not they want a career in jewellery. Employers will benefit from having an even wider pool of motivated and mature young people to select for apprenticeships.Contact our admissions team on 0207 405 0197 to find out more or visit www.holtsacademy.com.”
