EM Highway Services Limited (EM) isthe leading highways asset maintenance and management provider in the UK, specialising in the delivery of road maintenance contracts.
With an exceptional record, we have grown consistently by working collaboratively with our clients, customers, stakeholders and peers to deliver services that provide excellent customer experience.
We deliver a range of services for the Highways Agency, Transport for London and several local authorities. We also have regional design centres that support all of our contracts in the delivery of design solutions and safety assessments for bridges, environmental schemes, highways, street lighting and traffic management as well as undertaking Road Safety Audits, specialist structures investigation and value engineering.
Our Corporate support teams also include Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Health & Safety, HR, Communications, Business Development and IT.
EM Academy
At EM we believe that having great employees is vital to our success. The EM Academy ensures our continued success by developing the people who will drive our business forward.
The Academy provides a variety of career development routes into our organisation, from Apprenticeships, Student Placements and Graduate Programmes to on the job training.

EM Apprenticeships
Our Apprenticeships mix studies with real on the job experience. You’ll gain a range of experiences, work alongside and learn from truly knowledgeable people and you’ll receive an attractive salary package. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be offered an interview opportunity for a full time role at EM, where salaries are competitive and subject to annual review.
We offer a range of Apprenticeship schemes across our business, varying in length and type, dependent on your interest and location. Engineering and Highways Operative Apprenticeships are crucial in bringing new talent into our organisation. We’re also extending and developing Apprenticeships in many other areas including Finance, Customer Services, Communications, Quantity Surveying and Business Administration.
