College Launches Exciting New Traineeships This November
4 years ago

The traineeships in Accounting, Construction, Health and Social Care and ICT and Computing last for three months and gives learners the skills, experience and qualifications they need for work whilst being supported by the College and by their employer. Time is initially spent at the College preparing for their work experience placement before going out to their place of work after which they will learn from top local employers, working with them in real-life work situations.

As part of the Traineeship learners will gain valuable skills such as English and maths, plus greater self-confidence, presentation, communication and employability skills. On successful completion of their Traineeship, the trainees are guaranteed an interview and could go on to get a job, an apprenticeship or go on to further study at a higher level.

Employers include BMI Media, ComputerAid, Telfod Hills, local councils, local schools and many more.

Cheryl Brown from Brown Bears Nursery said, “Brown Bears nursery is a family owned and run company based in Tottenham and Palmers Green. We provide childcare from 3 months to 5 years. We are happy to support the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London by training and guiding learners within our nursery.”

Traineeships are for 16-23 year olds who are unemployed and may not have very much work experience but want to develop their skills. If you would like to find out more about apprenticeships or to apply please click here or call our course information line on 020 8442 3055.
