WHY TAKE THE COURSE
Young Filmmakers Academy is an intensive non-residential course for 14-17-year-olds who are passionate about film, television and online media, and would like to develop their creative skills over summer holidays.
- Get involved in a variety of exercises and roles that allow you to understand the core skills required for screen content creation
- Learn how to write scenes, use a camera and lighting, work with actors, record sound and edit your video content using professional software
- Attend classes in Met’s campus at the famous Ealing Studios, known for productions such as Shaun of The Dead, Notting Hill, Downton Abbey and many others
- Receive support from professional tutors who know the latest creative trends and techniques in the industry
WHAT YOU WILL STUDY
- Understanding the key elements of cinematography, including lighting, framing and shooting for the edit
- Recording and using sound to create a dramatic effect
- Introduction to the roles of Cinematographer and Sound Recordist
