This apprenticeship is for those individuals wanting to work in primary, secondary, special schools, alternative provision, and further education institutions such as sixth forms and colleges. TAs work across all age ranges, supporting learners and the class teacher to enhance learners’ progress and development either in groups or individually

The apprentice must be at least 16 years old and will be required to undertake a DBS check. They must also be employed, working more than 16 hours per week.
Good level of GCSE Maths and English (4-9) (A-C) Desired
Teaching and learning Teaching sessions will be delivered in both groups and one-to-one sessions remotely in order for the learner to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to achieve their diploma. Topics will be covered using a variety of assessment methods, including observations of practice by the Vocational Coach, witness testimonies from the employer and written/oral questions completed by the learner. Progress reviews will be carried out every 12 weeks as an opportunity for the learner, Vocational Coach and employer to reflect on what has been achieved, and plan what the next stage of the course should look like to meet the learner's and employer’s needs.
