Software Support & Developer Apprentice

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Software Support & Developer Apprentice.

Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and a desire to grow their skills in software development. You will provide first-line software support while receiving hands-on training in a variety of development tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide software support to clients and internal users.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of web applications.
  • Learn and contribute to ERP system development using HansaWorld HAL.
  • Support the creation of reports using Crystal Reports.
  • Work with databases using MS SQL.
  • Gain experience in .NET development.

Technologies you’ll work with:

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • HansaWorld HAL (ERP Solution).
  • Crystal Reports.
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • .NET Framework.

Desirable skills:

  • Basic programming experience (any language).
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Entry requirements:

  • The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider
  • OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.
