A few fast facts:
WHAT IS ASPIRE & EXCEL?
It’s our sales apprenticeship programme, which launched in 2022. The scheme is designed to transform ambitious talent into sales professionals, with proven selling tools and techniques that will maximise your potential.
We are searching for driven talent that wants to build an exciting future in B2B Sales (Business to Business). In a B2B sales role you will be selling our products and services to other businesses, ultimately enabling them to solve their problems, make better decisions, stay compliant, reduce risk and improve business performance.
The businesses you may work in operate in the following markets: financial services, collections and payments, insurance, aviation, chemical and commodities and human resources.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
As an apprentice on the Aspire & Excel programme, you will be learning the role of a sales professional through a structured programme that will build your skills and capabilities. This what you can expect:
Sales is all about building relationships with new or existing clients, so you’ll need to understand their challenges and discuss how our products and services can address them. This might be over the phone, email or in face-to-face meetings.
Your role could be focused on generating new business – so contacting potential clients and trying to build a relationship where one does not already exist. Or the role could be about managing existing client relationships (also called “accounts”), so you’ll be contacting these customers and looking at ways to help them grow their business even further.
You’ll be trained to know our products and services in great detail, understand our competitors and learn about the markets in which you will be operating. Initially you would shadow other members of the team. By month 3-6 we would aim for you to start speaking to customers directly. It will take time but we will support you all the way.
You’ll follow a structured apprenticeship programme of learning for the first 18 months, where on completion you’ll gain a Level 4 Sales Executive qualification. This is equivalent to a foundation degree, specifically Sales Certification Level 4 accredited by the Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP).
We are recruiting for 10 sales apprentices to join our business in London, starting in May 2025. You’ll start on a salary of £24,000 rising to £28,000 if you successfully complete your probation period.
WHAT’S THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
If you want to kickstart your career in sales, then simply apply below and our early careers partner Visionpath will review your application and be in touch if they’d like to find out more.
If your application is successful, you will be invited to an Assessment Day at our London office on 27th February or 4th March 2025.
For those candidates who successfully pass our assessment process, you will be invited to interviews in March, with offers to be made by the end of the month. Roles will start on or around 1st May 2025.
We look forward to hearing from you!
