Programme Manager

Help strengthen our Team as our IT Programme Manager. Home based role NI, (Northern Ireland), fixed term contract till end of March 2025.

Great Opportunity to join our team as our Programme Manager to be responsible for the planning, structuring, leading and direction of a divisional programme of work, a programme of interrelated projects or a large project with major sub-projects

What You'll Be Doing:

- Plans, directs, and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage; plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the programme

- Leads the programme team(s) in determining business requirements and translating requirements into operational plans

- Determines, monitors, and reviews all programme economics to include programme costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, programme resources, and programme risk

- Ensures that programme is managed to realise business benefits and that programme management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments

- Accountable for the delivery of your programme

What we're looking for:

- Strong programme management experience

- Prince 2 certified or equivalent

- Core Infrastructure experience

- Has proven project management and leadership skills, and a good knowledge of business analysis

 - Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets to minimise costs and ensure cost-effectiveness

- Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of a programme of projects and related activities through to the successful achievement of planned business benefits

- Experience of delivering infrastructure and cloud projects

- Broadly skilled in information technology so good understanding of desktop, hardware, printers, lan and wan

- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes

- Business case development and approvals skills

- Understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties

- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures

- Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme

- Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

- Knowledge of Microsoft Project

- Knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile

- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams

- Able to gain SC clearance
