The starting salary is £33,348 which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £30,507 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £32,639 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

In Operational Support services (MO11) we provide a range of services to the Met, including providing Fleet, Vehicle Recovery, Catering, Travel, Cultural Services, Uniform, ID Passes, Exhibit Management and Local support to officers. Whilst these services are quite different in what they deliver, the desired outcomes of delighting our customers, improving performance, delivering innovative services that are value for money and supporting and developing our people are the same.
As an Assurance Officer you will be responsible for helping to produce Assurance Packs/ Reports and other Business and Supplier Assurance support activity across the portfolio of service areas.
The role holder must be prepared to travel within reason.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
sourcing and manipulating raw data to display in a creative and clear way -be comfortable analysing data and drawing insight from data
helping to ensure Business Assurance Reports are produced on time and to required standards
support the team with deep dives into areas that the data indicates needs further analysis
contribute to the development & maintenance of the Performance Framework across all services which will involve learning about both supplier and business assurance activity
probe and challenge data where something doesn’t look right – use initiative to spot trends and issues
support with other business and supplier assurance activity such as organising forums, report production, taking minutes and dealing with unplanned requests
financial transactions such as raising purchase orders and consolidating accounts
embrace the cultural shift for function to be more customer centric, data driven and innovative.
Due to business reasons please be aware there is a tenure period for this role. This will be confirmed at the time of posting, and it is the expectation that normally the officer or staff member will be able to commit to the tenure, as a minimum. Tenure agreements are subject to annual review and may be changed at any time for reasons other than career development, such as considerable investment in training.
