Level 7 Masters Strategic Leadership And Management (CMI)

This two year qualification is ideal for Professional Strategic Leaders in the private, public or third sector, such as Senior Leader, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Information Officer or Head of Department/Faculty.

This professional qualification is mapped against the CMI Level 7 Diploma. On successful completion of all units and assessment criteria, you are able to gain a Masters and CMI Level 7 Diploma.

You will be registered as a student member of CMI. At the end of the programme you may wish to upgrade your membership to Chartered Manager.

Study Aims

This masters course aims to develop knowledge and understanding of leadership from a strategic perspective considering the internal and external factors that influence strategic leadership and management within organisations.

You will gain up-to-date knowledge of organisational theory and behaviour, and you will review organisational strategy in line with innovation, financial planning and organisational change.

Teaching and Assessment

Tutorials are provided by the Course Tutor to help you with your assessments.

Each unit is allocated a number of weeks over the programme. Each unit has an assessment which has been designed by the course team and validated by the Open University.

Sessions are engaging and include both taught theory and seminar activities. The sessions aim to develop your knowledge and practice of being a Strategic Leader by using an interactive approach. This means you will be given the opportunity to apply the theory to practice.

Entry Criteria

You will hold a degree in a relevant subject.

Ideally, you will hold Level 2 maths and English.

What are the next steps?

You will attend an informal interview at the College with a member of the course team. Please bring your certificates for all relevant qualifications to your interview.

On arrival please report to the NCD University Centre reception.
