About the Apprenticeship Programme
As an Administrative Coordinator, you will provide support to Discovery Sciences function and the associated teams. The successful candidate may also coordinate budgets, calendars, purchase orders, group meetings and other projects. This includes exercising judgment in determining priorities related to handling calendars, meeting and travel schedules, budgets & routine reporting, projects, and correspondence. As a coordinator, this position may also provide assistance to members of the Discovery Sciences Gaithersburg, Waltham, Gothenburg, Warsaw and Cambridge teams including tracking of projects, budgets, timelines, and metrics, generating reports and correspondence as assigned.
Other Duties will include:
• Manage complex calendars to schedule meetings, conference calls, videoconferences, and special events; the ability to prioritise calendar conflicts is paramount.
• Handle meetings, mail disposition, multi-location domestic and international travel arrangements as well as live and virtual meetings/conferences
• File expense reports and supply orders with accuracy and efficiency for team members, including follow-through to ensure that appropriate and timely actions are taken.
• Effectively coordinate and collaborate with other Administrative Assistants within AstraZeneca on cross-functional and cross-organisational meetings / events / processes, including across multiple international time zones.
• Establish and maintain a robust professional network across administrative teams in the US, Sweden, Poland and UK to facilitate effective working.
• Track and support assigned internal projects and processes, such as employee recognition program and recruitment tracking; generate reports from various internal systems under tight time constraints.
• Manage the procurement process for teams; raising POs, tracking invoices, budgets and set up of new vendors when required.
• Produce accurate and properly formatted documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effectively lead special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Coordinate department trainings, offsite events for leadership teams, and all hands meetings.
Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your Level 3 course at Paragon.
The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time college learning (on average 1 day/week). This will give you the opportunity to gain a Business Administrator qualification, just as you would if you went to college full-time, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of helping to develop new medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades 9 to 4 including English and Maths
To have achieved or predicted to achieve a minimum of one A level at grade C

This is a 18-month fixed term contract opportunity based at Cambridge with a starting base salary of £21,500+ 11% benefits fund + bonus.
