Overview
You will be employed and working as an apprentice in mechanical/production engineering while studying for a national recognised qualification.
It combines study with practical learning on-the-job. You will attend college on a day-release basis while employed and working as an apprentice in mechanical/production engineering.
You will gain evidence from your place of work, which will contribute towards the achievement of your apprenticeship.
Modules
Delivery
You will work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, plus take part in training for approximately 1 day. The exact working and training hours will be dependent upon the needs of the employer.
Entry Criteria
Entry requirements are that you must obtain four grades A-C GCSE including maths, english and a science. Applicants with a completed level 2 apprenticeship who have not achieved all GCSE grades will be considered.
What next?
You could progress to the HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering at New College Durham.
