Legal Support Apprentice

Be yourself and start your journey with us as a Legal Support Apprentice. Working towards a Business Administration qualification, you'll become an integral part of our team, playing a key role in supporting colleagues across the business with essential tasks, such as printing, photocopying, scanning, and booking travel and processing expenses.

About Addleshaw Goddard

As a leading law firm, we work with thousands of organisations across more than 100 countries. We tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions, creating opportunities for our clients, colleagues, and communities.

We're proud to have received numerous awards for training, innovation, diversity, and culture, reflecting our commitment to excellence and inclusion.  Our inclusive and supportive environment is built for everyone to succeed.

About the Role

Our centralised support team, The Cube, plays a key role in delivering high-quality administrative assistance across the firm.

This is a fully office-based role, working a shift pattern between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Under the guidance of an experienced Team Leader, you'll complete a variety of tasks assigned via a workflow management tool, ensuring deadlines are met to support the business. Typical tasks include printing, scanning, and copying documents, filing electronic mail, booking travel, and processing expenses. You'll work in small teams based on the working floors of our offices, delivering excellent customer service.

As a Legal Support Apprentice on our two-year programme, you'll gain hands-on experience in administrative support within a legal firm, while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification with BPP.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to progress within The Cube through our promotions process, advancing into Level 1, 2, or 3 roles. Many of our Legal Support team members also move into other areas of the business, such as Finance, HR, Paralegal, or PA roles.

Of course, there are some attributes we would like you to bring to this role (listed below). However, your personality and individuality matter just as much – we want you to be yourself and we will do our best to build your skillset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use different approaches depending on the audience and the context.
  • High level of attention to detail with significant emphasis on quality of work.
  • Ability to be resilient and successfully manage multiple competing workstreams.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade C or above.
  • 3 A-levels or equivalent at grades C or above.
