IT Support Apprentice

Responsibilities:

  • Handling calls and emails from across the business and assist colleagues requiring assistance.
  • Visiting and working from different offices and locations.
  • Logging tickets with the external providers about hosting servers and VOIP system.
  • Update the team with issues on existing tickets.
  • Updating 'knowledge base' with new issues that occur.
  • Develop your knowledge and skills so you can handle a wider range of support tasks.
  • Windows networking like Domain, DNS, DHCP servers and clients.
  • Network management.
  • Office 365 administration.

  • Be able to work well within a team and be calm.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Be able to deliver a high level of customer services at all times.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Have a passion to work within a busy IT team and want to make a difference.
  • Demonstrate an analytical approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to want to learn new processes and products.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

40 hours per week.
