You’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues requiring technical support—whether via phone, helpdesk, or in person. You’ll assist with setting up and maintaining IT equipment, resolving hardware and software issues, and supporting various IT systems across the company. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring all IT processes are documented and follow company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to technical issues and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Installing, configuring, and repairing IT equipment (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, VoIP phones, printers, etc).
  • Performing maintenance and repairs on hardware.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting software including Windows 11, Chrome OS, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and company-specific applications.

Desirable skills:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and logical thinking.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about technology.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

For more information please visit the UK ENIC website.
