IT Support Apprentice

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated Apprentice to join our team. We specialise in supporting students and staff with learning difficulties like ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism.

Overview:
As an Apprentice you will be an integral part of our customer service and support team, working alongside other apprentices with learning difficulties. You will have additional support for your individual needs. Your role will involve direct interaction with our customers, both in person, over the phone, and via our ticketing system, ensuring their needs are met professionally and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering customer phone calls with a polite and professional demeanor 
  • Raising support tickets and accurately assigning them to the appropriate tier for resolution 
  • After a few months (or working towards), manage your own tickets and resolve customer problems or requests (Tier 1) 

Serving customers in our shop, which includes:

  • Understanding customer inquiries and providing accurate answers 
  • Recommending the right products based on customer needs 
  • Processing customer transactions efficiently 

What we are looking for: 
Desirable skills: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure 

Personal qualities: 

  • A friendly and approachable demeanor 
  • A keen interest in having a career in IT 

Entry requirements: 

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject 
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) 
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Work pattern: 

  • Negotiable:
  • Either four full days a week or five shorter days, between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday,  30hrs a week.
