Responsibilities:
- Provide a mix of field-based (70%) and help desk (30%) IT support to key clients across the UK - company van provided.
- Deliver 1st and 2nd line support, including handling service desk calls, emails, and tickets.
- Monitor and maintain network/server infrastructure and respond to system issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with project support and documentation of new/existing processes, helping identify and resolve technical trends.
Desirable skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and analytical abilities with a logical approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, G Suite, Windows Server, Active Directory, and backup technologies like Veeam.
- Understanding of networking principles, VOIP telephony, and infrastructure monitoring.
- A proactive self-starter who takes ownership and remains calm under pressure.
- Team-oriented and respectful, with a “give and take” attitude.
- Eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a drive to deliver service excellence.
- Certifications or training in Microsoft technologies or networking are a plus.
Additionally, the following experience is required:
- Experience in 1st line support is essential, ideally over a few years.
- Strong knowledge of desktop support and IT infrastructure is required.

Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm with 1 hour lunch break.
