At Lloyds Banking Group, Audit is an independent function, reporting to the Group Audit Committee and the Board. They’re our trusted advisors; they look at how the bank operates, point out potential issues, and suggest ways to improve. In a nutshell, they help keep the bank running smoothly and safely.
This varied and rewarding apprenticeship will give you significant insight into our entire business and a unique perspective on how we operate. You could find yourself supporting one of our specialist teams, anywhere from People to Data or Finance to Cyber Security.

What you’ll learn
The apprenticeship lasts 4.5years, during which time you’ll complete the level 4 Internal Audit Practitioner apprenticeship, before progressing to a higher-level qualification. You’ll always be learning, developing real expertise every day, alongside your studies.

Salary
£25,000 plus fantastic benefits. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, your salary will increase.
While you settle in, you’ll mostly be working in your hub office. As your apprenticeship progresses, you’ll move to hybrid working with a minimum of two days in the office each week.
Requirements
What you’ll need to apply
For our roles in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man you’ll need GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 in both Maths and English. You’ll also need to be at least 18 years old on 1st September 2025.
For our roles in Scotland, you’ll need National 5 (or equivalent) at grade A-C in both Maths and English. You’ll also need to be at least 18 years old by the end of February 2026.
These grades can be predicted, but any offer made to you will be conditional upon successful achievement of these qualifications.
If you have a degree, you can still apply for one of our apprenticeships, but this cannot be in a subject that’s related to the apprenticeship. We’ll need to see a copy of your degree module transcript to review your prior learning.
