General Management Degree Apprenticeship

What makes us different? This is the only scheme that will allow you to work across the business. It is pan-TfL – you can move from government relations to finance, working on stations to HR.

Hear from our Apprentices:

“The general management apprenticeship is the perfect way to experience TfL from all its different lenses; from working with Trams and creating a strategy for the next 10 years to being a controller in Whitechapel station. The placements allow you to meet a range of people, work on so many different projects and the action never stops! 4 years may sound like a long time, but it really does fly by, and the experience you gain is so invaluable too, I’ve seen myself grow and really find my place in such an enormous organisation. – Sadia, General Management Apprentice

It is the opportunity offered by this scheme which sets itself apart. The General Management scheme facilitates choice throughout, allowing successful applicants to pursue their desired career in an area of TfL which most aligns with their ambitions. The experience I got from working at TfL for four years before assuming my post-graduate role in Corporate Finance means I know how the business works, and I have colleagues throughout the organisation which I call upon to this day – Joe, General Management Apprentice
