Digital Support Apprentice

Overview:
We are looking for a Digital Support Apprentice to join our team. The main purpose of your role will be to provide flexible pro-active digital support within our Glasgow Office, in accordance with firm policies. In doing so, you will also work with main receptionist to ensure client contact meets agreed standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as first port of call for clients and support with call overflows, solving client queries where possible and escalate where necessary.
  • Produce documents, maximising available IT (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) via the LawWare document management system, ensure they are signed by a partner by pre-determined deadlines. You will adhere to style and layout requests and become a superuser of LawWare.
  • Perform audio-typing duties using Bighand, a productivity and workflow tool widely used in law firms and other professional services. You will transcribe dictations.
  • Manage shared support in-box ensure requests are actioned in line with agreed internal response times as prioritised by line manager.
  • Assist cashroom with collating volume invoices eg Sheriff Officers fees using LawWare.
  • Manage incoming mail and support with local deliveries, such as banking runs to ensure cash flow of firm.

Salary:
£17,000 per annum.

Working week:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

  • Life cover (4x salary). 
  • 33 days holiday (including 10 public holidays). 
  • Once you are a permanent employee, you will have your birthday off each year and be able to purchase additional holidays up to 1 week. 

Future prospects:
Should you perform well, you will have the opportunity to move into a permanent position. 
Also upon completion of your apprenticeship, as your role and responsibilities grow, your salary will grow / reflect this.

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
