Conversion Consultant

We are recruiting for a Software Developer to join our team!

As a software developer with us, you will be working to develop code as part of the conversion team in the day-to-day activities involved with ongoing conversions and other work for the Capita One Revenues and Benefits and Capita One EDMS products. This is a home-based role.

About the role

  • To develop code as part of the development team in the day-to-day activities involved with ongoing conversions and other bespoke work relating to the Capita One Revenues and Benefits and Capita One EDMS products.
  • To ensure that Conversions Team deliveries are implemented on time and to the prescribed level of quality.
  • To produce specifications and high standard of documentation relating to processes and solutions being used by the development team.
  • To provide mentoring and coaching for less experienced members of the team.
  • Work closely with the Conversion Manager to ensure requirements and design are reviewed and discussed to ensure the solution meets the requirements of the business

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of working within a software development environment in languages like C, C#
  • Proficient in writing SQL and SQL scripts
  • Good understanding of database concepts
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like bash, shell script, perl, awk
  • Knowledge of IT Security issues

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience of Capita's Advantage Revenues and Benefits software.
  • Experience of working on OpenRoad and Ingres
  • Experience of working on Data Migration projects.
  • Experience of working on Microsoft SQL Server
