Associate IS Analyst Apprentice

The Nottingham is offering a fantastic opportunity to join our Technology & Transformation team as an Associate Information Security Analyst Apprentice. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to take on the challenge of safeguarding information assets.

What You’ll Do:

As an Associate Information Security Analyst Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting the security of The Nottingham’s information systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Learning and Development: Gain hands-on experience with Information Security tools, and learn to promote and enforce security policies across the organisation.
  • Daily Operations: Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly security checks, ensuring our computing environment and sensitive information remain secure.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with key stakeholders and support cross-functional business teams to protect our members and their data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals who are proactive, curious, and collaborative, with a passion for technology and security. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with operating systems, network principles, and basic scripting/programming logic.
  • Ability to deliver high-accuracy work and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Awareness of the building society or broader financial services sector.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001 and technical infrastructure.

Entry Requirements:

  • An A-Level in ICT
  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
  • OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
