CLdN Automotive Ltd is a Vehicle Enhancement Centre where vehicles are prepared for customer handover and commercial vehicles are built to fleet customers’ specifications. It is a busy, fast-paced environment and as the company continues its rapid growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a Technical Apprentice.
Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Your role
To learn and assist with all aspects of warranty processes on a variety of new motor vehicles, including prestige models, to defined standards set by the customer.
Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
To learn to undertake pre-delivery inspection (PDI) work as well as fitting and testing vehicles.

Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the facility
You must also be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe
As part of your study program, you will complete the Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship (42 months).
Main Tasks:
You will be expected to study and pass a relevant Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship, which is currently sourced by the Company.
To be trained, then assist with all aspects of warranty processes on all new motor vehicles to defined standards as set by the customer.
To be trained then able to complete and ensure that all warranty paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
To ensure that a high level of quality is followed throughout the warranty process as set out by Mercedes Benz standards.
To liaise closely with the MB Technical Department in relation to all warranty/service measures to be carried out on all new MB vehicles.
To assist with any PDI work as and when required.
To assist with all production requirements and ensure that they are met on a daily basis by yourself and the department.
To attend Mercedes Benz training courses either based on site or at their training venue when required.
To report and rectify any vehicle defects that may be found whilst undertaking the above.
To ensure that all CLdN Automotive processes are followed to a high standard within the department.
To work to the Health & Safety rules within the CLdN Automotive.
To undertake Health & Safety sampling as and when required.
To be able to undertake any task within your skill and capability as required by management.
