AI & Data Apprentice

About Kawasaki Precision Engineering:

Based on the beautiful banks of the River Tamar in Plymouth, Kawasaki Precision Machinery have been developing and manufacturing world-class hydraulic systems in Plymouth for 30 years in 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers through a range of communication channels.
  • Manage their time, prioritising their digital support workflow to meet Rating critical milestones.
  • Undertake basic data analysis utilising appropriate digital technologies.
  • Maintain security of data by applying the appropriate policies and complying with legislation.
  • Resolve digital issues using the appropriate tools and technologies.
  • Support application users, advising on how to optimise productivity.

Desirable skills:

  • Must be collaborative and prepared to work as part of a team, using their voice and insight as well as assisting or carrying out other duties during periods of high workload, sickness, holidays, and emergencies.
  • The post holder will be a good problem solver, able to make decisions quickly within their remit and escalate issues quickly.
  • The post holder will actively seek development opportunities, undertake self-study, acquire new knowledge, and suggest formal training requirements.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
