Having heard about the apprenticeships from a training provider while studying at college, the 20-year-old Sunderland FC fan has already been entrusted with a high level of responsibility at ISS by supporting the smooth running of several sites.
Tom’s work includes lighting maintenance and keeping air conditioning at a consistent level, both critical to the operating environment.
Furthermore, he carries out weekly Planned Preventative Maintenance for water treatment, fire alarm testing and sprinkler pumps.
“I enjoy being part of a team and getting the chance to work on complex equipment which helps to broaden my knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems,” he said.
“I also enjoy the opportunity to go to college and earn a good qualification to enhance my career as an electrician.”
