From Sporty Student To Self-employed Personal Trainer
10 years ago

With a natural talent and passion for sport, 17-year-old college student Lewis Quinn had always known that he wanted a rewarding career in the health and fitness industry, and with a little help from Premier Training International, he had become a fully trained personal trainer.

Lewis began his training at just 16 years old, taking advantage of the flexibility of Premier’s courses to schedule his Active IQ qualifications around college. He used his 2010 summer holidays to gain his Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instruction in just three weeks. The following year, he worked hard to complete his Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Personal Training and Certificate in Sports Conditioning over the summer holidays. After graduating, Lewis began working as a self-employed personal trainer around his college studies, offering personal training sessions at his local gym as well as in client’s houses and local parks. With a growing client base, Lewis is currently working as a part-time personal trainer until he completes his college studies.

On his time at Premier, Lewis said: "I was taught by a fantastic personal trainer who really helped me to develop my skills and knowledge of the industry. Without this expert tuition, I feel that I wouldn’t have been as well equipped to develop my own thriving business as a personal trainer. I would certainly recommend Premier to anyone considering going into the fitness industry. The learning methods are so flexible and it’s a brilliant way to get the right training to become a first class personal trainer. I’m even interested in doing further courses in the future and building on my Active IQ qualifications."

As well as working as a self-employed personal trainer, Lewis is waiting to go on a Rugby tour to Sri-Lanka in 2012, with the hope of returning to study Sports Science at University and continue his career in the health and fitness industry.
