Finance - Apprenticeships Sector In The Spotlight

Four former and current apprentices from across the Financial Services
sector talk about how an Apprenticeship has benefited them.

The
four stars, who work for Wolverhampton City Credit Union and in
different roles at nationwide banks Barclays, HSBC and Lloyds Banking
Group also talk about the breadth of skills they developed during their
Apprenticeship and the importance of the sector to the economy.

The stars are:
• Jazzmynne Dixon (22) who has completed an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Customer Service with Wolverhampton City Credit Union
•
Gurpreet Singh (27), who has completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in
Retail Banking Conduct of Business with HSBC and is now a Premier
Relationship Manager with the bank
• Sam Lodge (20), who is currently doing an Advanced Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services with Lloyds Banking Group
• Thomas Harrison, (19), who is currently doing an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services with Barclays

Employers,
led by the Financial Skills Partnership, the Sector Skills Council for
the financial sector, are being encouraged to promote the film across
the sector and to young people. The film will also be used by the
National Apprenticeship Service in resource packs for schools and at
careers events up and down the country.
