Her path into ISS was unusual. Amy impressed the company when she took part in the regional TV programme The Recruit, where jobs were given to those who showed the most aptitude for business.
The idea to pursue an apprenticeship was suggested by her line manager and the experience has significantly boosted her development within the company by working across different departments and expanding her communication skills.
“I enjoy the fact that I’m learning as I’m working and it’s an approach that really suits me. I also like the experience of working with the others on my course and sharing our knowledge with each other,” said Amy Louise who has climbed Ben Nevis and plans to repeat the challenge.
“I hope in the immediate future it will allow me to contribute more to my company and for the long term give me a wealth of knowledge to continue climbing the corporate ladder.”
