Training Provider Withdrawal From Adult Learning Business; What Next For Young People?

Following recent announcements of one apprenticeship provider's withdrawal in the media, disappointed young people who are hoping to launch their career with an apprenticeship may be unsure where to turn to.

The closure, reported inThe Daily Telegraphthis week, has been attributed to the government now only funding ‘employer led’ apprenticeships - jobs with training - leading to a reduced demand.

However, QA Apprenticeships want to assure all young people and their parents that real apprenticeships are actually growing faster than ever, with thousands of businesses increasing their investment in apprenticeships.

National figures released from the House of Commons showed that there were 502,540 apprenticeship starts last year; more than double the figure two years previously*.

QA Apprenticeships are different as they are created with employers, for employers, in partnership with organisations such as Microsoft, Oracle and Association of Project Management.Which is why QA are growing at twice the national rate and are recruiting on behalf of employers in your area now!

The new year is a great time to look for an apprenticeship job, and offers the perfect opportunity for young people who may be looking for a new direction after dropping out of university, college or A levels after Christmas.

QA Apprenticeships specialises in IT apprenticeships, offering opportunities with great prospects. The technology sector is looking for 129,000 new entrants per year to fill IT and telecoms job roles in the UK**.

“QA Apprentices all have a job from day one and nearly 90% are offered a full time job at the end of the programme. We want get the message across to all potential candidates and their parents that there are real apprenticeship jobs with employers in your area waiting to interview talented and motivated individuals.” says Ben Pike, Director of QA Apprenticeships.

QA Apprenticeships have created over 1500 jobs in two years that follow apprenticeship programmes in IT, Software and Web Development, Business, Sales and Project Management. Companies who we have recruited candidates for include British Gas, Cisco, Atos, and British Airways.
