New Higher Education Courses Announced At Conel
4 years ago

The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) has announced a new range of Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) courses to start this September. Ideal for A Level students, the Higher National Courses and Diplomas are equivalent to the first and second years of university degree study, but at a fraction of the cost.

Students are welcome to enquire now for more information and to enrol for the new courses from 18 August.

Kurt Hintz, CONEL Vice Principal said: “The advantage of completing Higher Nationals is that they are valued by employers. This means that students can move into employment or transfer to university to convert their qualifications to a full degree with honour.”

At roughly £5,000 a year the Higher Nationals are a bargain compared to university fees of £9,000. Studying at CONEL also allows students to continue to live locally and to achieve their higher education in a college environment where many feel more comfortable compared to a university.

The College offers Higher Nationals in Applied Biology, Games and Animation, Music Production, Computing and Systems Development and Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Management.

Paul Cowgill, who completed his HNC Computing last year and is now working for Halifax Bank, said: “During my one year at CONEL in which I completed by HNC course, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful from management down to fellow students and I would recommend this college and the course to anyone I speak to.”

The College also offers higher education and postgraduate qualifications in Counselling, Teacher Education and Accounting.
