The Ship Safe Training Group has for over 30 years provided an entry route for officer trainees wanting to develop their careers at sea within the exciting world of the Merchant Navy.
SSTG provides a recruitment and training service for shipping companies operating a wide range of sophisticated vessels and is unrivalled in the support we give to all of our officer trainees whilst at college and at sea.
SSTG currently have a limited number of sponsorships available to train as an Engineer or ETO Officer commencing in September 2013.
Interested applicants who wish to be considered should in the first instance use the on line application form atwww.sstg.orgsupplying as much information as possible in support of your application. A decision on candidates selected for interview is usually made within 28 days and successful individuals will be invited to attend our office in Rochester for a first interview.
The minimum qualifications required are 120 UCAS points, with a minimum of 60 points awarded for a mathematical or science based subject or be holders of a National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or an Engineering subject.
Sponsorship will provide an all encompassing package that will cover all the tuition fees, exam costs and many other charges that need to be met to provide the necessary training.
In addition to the training costs being met in full, the successful individual will also be paid a training allowance throughout the training programme.
