Why did you choose an apprenticeship over university?
I chose an apprenticeship over university because I knew that I could do the same AAT qualification through an apprenticeship that I could do at university. This meant in the end I would have the same qualifications as a university student without having all the student debt, and some work experience under my belt within the field of accounting.
What do you enjoy about working here?
I enjoy working at Essity because the general office atmosphere is great. Everyone is so lovely and friendly, and we all get on well. Everyone made me feel welcome when I first started at Essity and they are more than happy to help if I am stuck on a piece of work or have any queries about anything.
What has been the highlight of your programme so far?
The highlight of the programme so far has been passing all the exams so far. This has given me the confidence and motivation to work even harder.
What are your career aspirations moving forward?
After I have studied and completed the AAT qualifications to become an Accounting Technician, I would like to continue my studies and study CIMA to become a Chartered Accountant.
