QA Apprentices came from all over the country to take part in QA’s third feedback day in September. The day was set out for apprentices to provide their opinions and help QA in their mission to continuously improve their service as training providers. Here's what the apprentices thought:
- Apprentices mainly felt that they were given an equal opportunity when it came to recruitment
- Apprentices feel that resourcers generally gave positive feedback
- The majority of apprentices would recommend us to their friends
- Almost 3/4 of them said their training was good or excellent
What they have done since their last feedback day
- Almost 700 apprentices currently on their programme compared to over 400 last year
- They have over 1200 likes on Facebook compared to just 315 this time last year
- Actively promoting equality and diversity in apprenticeship recruitment
- Systems have been implemented to reduce paperwork and improve access to portfolios
- All Apprentices have logins to Microsoft Academy e-learning
What they are continuing to improve
- Software upgrade to be deployed to 300 machines by Christmas
- Tutors to begin carrying out a review every eight weeks
- Listening to apprentices and employers, e.g. running apprentice feedback days every 6 months
- Increasing Ben Pike's communications to apprentices
