The rigorous interview and selection day was managed by the College’s trainers as well as Manpower personnel. The College’s warehousing and fork lift courses gave the learners the valuable skills they needed to gain employment in a growing sector where there are many jobs. The successful students had for the most part been unemployed for a long time and they were thrilled to get the great news which showed that by acquiring the necessary skills their hard work had paid off with great jobs.
Polly Wells, Branch Manager at Manpower, was delighted and stated: “I would like to thank the College for their support in a well-attended interview day. The day was a success and Manpower has gained forty three warehouse staff that will be suitable for many of Manpower’s clients. I will be recommending this service to other Manpower locations.”
Jane O’Neill, Interim Principal and Chief Executive from the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London added: “I am delighted that so many of our students got jobs with such fantastic companies. The success of the day just goes to show that the College’s training gives learners the skills they need for employment and that our courses are specifically designed to match the needs and expectations of employers.”
