What you’ll learn

Engineering at Lloyds Banking Group could be the perfect fit for you.
During your Level 4 apprenticeship
program, which typically spans up to two years, you will have the opportunity
to specialise in one of the following areas: Software Engineering, Quality
Engineering, or Cyber Security. Your specific placement will be communicated as
part of our recruitment process. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will
explore various technological fields and make a significant impact on numerous
individuals and businesses. You will gain practical experience with
cutting-edge technology and acquire skills such as:

Utilising containers (for software
packaging)
·
Handling code
changes effectively
·
Working with
cloud services
·
Developing and
integrating APIs to connect different software systems

What you’ll need
·
[England, Wales, NI & Crown Dependencies] GCSE
(or equivalent) at grade 4-9 in both Maths and English and or English
literature
·
[Scotland] National 5 (or equivalent) at grade A-C
in both Maths and English.
These grades can be predicted, but any
offer made to you will be conditional upon successful achievement of these
qualifications.
·
[England, Wales, NI & Crown Dependencies]
You’ll need to be at least 18 years old on 1st September 2025.
·
[Scotland] You’ll need to be at least 18 years old
by the end of February 2026.
Whilst we welcome candidates who have a
degree, this cannot be in a field related to the apprenticeship due to a
crossover in learning. We’ll request a copy of your degree module transcript to
review if your degree may contain prior learning.

Important information

does not meet the minimum threshold – if this situation applies to you, please

Working Pattern: Initially, working in
the office will be required for most of the time as you settle into your role.
Later on, aim to transition to a hybrid working model, where you will be
expected to be at your base location for a minimum of two days per week. This
arrangement will require approval from your line manager.

Salary
You will join us on a fixed
apprenticeship salary. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you
will be re-graded, with your pay range consistent with the job family for your
business area.
