The Step On Track Programme has been developed in response to the underrepresented groups in British racing and aims to engage young people from diverse backgrounds with Britain’s second largest spectator sport, as well as showcasing the varied and exciting career opportunities that it can provide. What you’ll do
Those that join the programme will have access to a number of events and activities rolling throughout the year including insight days, industry trips, networking, careers support and much more.

This will be the first part of the programme seeing the sport up close. We will host you for the day where you will explore your options in the sport. See and hear from people working in it and much more. We also plan to have a day in the British Horseracing Authority Head Office in Central London.

Diversity and Inclusion in the horseracing industry – hear from our Head of Diversity and Inclusion at the BHA and discuss current issues in this area and what you can do to help. Some of the group have gone on to work in the industry at the Racing Post and others gone on to early careers programmes and other Careers in Racing groups such as the Youth Collaboration Group.
