About the Role

This role sits within the Onboarding function, who are responsible for conducting legal and regulatory compliance relating to the onboarding of new clients and matters.

Joining our two-year programme as an Onboarding Coordinator Apprentice you will gain hands on experience in an extremely varied role, encompassing a wide range of administrative tasks. You will work across the Conflicts, Financial Crime & Sanctions, and Internal Audit functions of BAU, to ensure the effective and efficient management of workflow. You will be responsible for collating management information and suggesting enhancements to systems and procedure to ensure service level agreements are maintained or exceeded. You will also work towards completing the Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship with BPP as part of the programme. 

Upon completion of the programme, you'll have the opportunity to progress within the team and continue building your career with us (subject to vacancies).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use different approaches depending on the audience and the context.
  • High level of attention to detail with significant emphasis on quality of work.
  • Ability to be resilient and successfully manage multiple competing workstreams.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade C or above.

 

The following list, whilst not exhaustive, gives a flavour of what you can expect if you are to be successful:

  • Manage all requests received by BAU to ensure appropriate allocation based on skill levels & capacity within BAU teams.
  • Liaise with the Fee Earning and PA teams, to resolve administrative queries and ascertain further information to assist with progressing BAU requests.
  • Monitor service levels and allocate work accordingly across all office jurisdictions to ensure that urgent requests are prioritised, working hours considered and multiple demands of the Firm are met.
  • Collate management and statistical information in relation to the number of requests received and provide periodic reports to management.
  • Provide daily status updates at the end of each working day.
  • Create and maintain information barriers.
  • Deal with high-level compliance related queries with supervision.

For the role of Onboarding Coordinator Apprentice, we will reward you with a starting salary of £21,500 a year, with the potential for salary increments in your second year.
